About MK

MK is what one can call a true leader and mentor, he has trained hundreds and hundreds of teenagers, Mk is friendly yet strict at the same time which makes him a very good decision maker, he is self employed and owns a company called TAMKA, a company that he started with his friend Thabile a few years back. He has also been and still a leader for a program called Youth for Christ which has been an excellent service provider for the Department of education's youth programs.

About Makabongwe

Makabongwe is what one can call the organisations heart, he is very passionate about youth programs and is undoubtedly a natural leader and a poetic speaker who knows just what to say at all times. Makabongwe is one of the founding members of what is known today as the Peer Education Council and he was the very first chairperson of the council. He is also a director of Mayhem1976, a fashion and graphic design company that he established with Avelile Olothando Nontanda. Makabongwe is currently studying Business and Marketing related courses at Rhodes University.

Yanga is the comedian of the organisation with excellent administrative skills. Yanga is also a very vocal person and is very flexible. Yanga is one of the founding members of the Peer Education Council,He is also our Mfundisi, a true blessing for our organisation and a good mentor. Yanga is currently studying Electrical Engineering at the Durban University of Technology.

She is currently a Fascilitator For the Department of Education under the HIV/AIDS Directorate and also works as a Peer Group Trainer on the Peer Education Program. Zweli is a very practical person whom is a true reflection of "actions speak louder than words" type of a person, he is friendly yet strict, he is easy to talk to and has a very generous heart, zweli is good in debating issues and he is also one of the founding members of the Peer Education Council. Zweli is currently studying Mechatronic Engineering at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.

About Avelile

Avelile is a very hands on person, he is the engine of this organisation. He is a true leader and likes practicality. He is also the creative head of the team and never fails to come up with fresh innovative ideas for both the organisation. Avelile is a very good strategist and has experience in leadership and creativity. He designed the logo for the Peer Education Council and is also a Founding Member of the Council. He further helped establish Youth Driven by Power Passion and Pride with the rest of the team, he created the logo for Youth Driven by Power Passion and pride and he is the creator of this website, he developed the program for Youth Driven by Power, Passion and Pride with the assistance of the team and has worked as a Peer Facilitator and Poster designer for the Cape Peninsula University of Technology HIV/AIDS UNIT. He is a co-founder of Mayhem1976 and operates as the Creative director of the company. Mayhem is also a proud sponsor of Youth Driven by Power, Passion and Pride. Avelile is currently studying Interior Architecture at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
